Pyrops candelaria - insect study

Hello!
Here's a project I spent a little time working on during the second school year at ESMA, Lyon.
We were asked to choose an insect and create its surrounding environment, as well as a little turn to show more details.
I chose to do a Pyrops Candelaria, because I thought they were very funny little creatures, and it would be a real challenge.
My favorite part of this project was texturing the insect and hand-painting every part of it. I also loved working on the environment and its lighting to make it as realistic as possible.
